Transfering a Domain

Information on how to transfer your domain to e-Orchards

Please note that e-Orchards will only accept domain transfers with the purchase of a hosting package.

If your domain is set to expire within the next 28 days you proceed at your own risk. Successful transfers can take 5 working days to complete. This period can take longer dependant on your unique circumstances. We strongly discourage transfers of domains expiring in less than 14 days.

Top Level Domains

When transfering a TLD (Top Level Domain i.e. .com / .net / .info / .org / .biz), firstly you must contact your current registrar and tell them to unlock your domain.

We will then send an electronic transfer request to your registrar. If you do not tell them to unlock the domain, then this will be rejected by your registrar.

Secondly, you must obtain your "Authorization code" or "Epp Code" from your registrar and forward this to our DNS team at support@e-orchards.co.uk

Only domains that are 'active' may be transferred. You cannot transfer a 'locked', 'redemption-period' or 'pending-delete' domain name.

.uk Domains

In the case of .uk domains, you must tell your registrar to change the domain "TAG" to 'Easyspace', our registrar agency, or you can ask Nominet to do this for you.
